The department provides a wide range of high quality cross-specialty health care services, including physical examinations, preventive screenings and immunizations, urgent care for medical conditions, and referrals to surgical specialists when appropriate. Our Internal Medicine Consultants have had broad-based training in General Medicine and in one or more subspecialties.
The presence of clinicians with different subspecialty training in the department allows an integrated approach to patient care and helps to limit the volume of referral to other subspecialty departments.
The Department Surgery at NIMCH is committed to providing medical students, residents
and fellows with a wide array of surgical training including open general surgery procedures
in the treatment of morbid obesity, gastroesophageal reflux disease, pancreatic and biliary
diseases, hernias and colorectal diseases with the focus of providing the best in patient
care
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of NIMCH provides comprehensive services to
women in the treatment and management of gynecologic and obstetric conditions – from
routine care to complex high-risk situations. Our maternity services manage and provide
care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal periods. High risk pregnancy and
complications are dealt with special care. There are a high percentage of obstetric patients
having normal vaginal delivery. All facilities are available to provide obstetric friendly
services to patients seeking vaginal delivery. There is a team of midwives, junior doctors
and senior obstetricians dedicated to their field.
The Department of Urology at NIMCH is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art medical and
surgical care for all specialties of male and female urology (both adult and pediatric), as well
as male infertility problems. Each year, our highly experienced urologists treat hundreds of
patients, providing expert diagnosis, care and surgeries for a complete range of urological
conditions.
We offer patients confidential evaluation, treatment and follow-up care with state-of –the-art
resources, like ultra-modern operation theatres (OT), Lithotripsy unit pediatric urology,
Reconstructive urology, uro-oncology as well as modern diagnostic facilities like urodynamic
studies. The department has become a national referral surgical center.
The Department of Cardiology provides a broad range of services in the diagnosis and
management of heart disease. The department comprises a strong team of doctors from
various cardiac sub-specialties to treat all types of heart disease.
The Department of Anaesthesiology of NIMCH provides a range of anaesthetic,
preoperative and pain management services to patients of all ages. There are also several
centres under the Department of Anaesthesiology which includes the Pain Management
Centre and the Hyperbaric & Diving Medicine Centre.
The Department of Neurosurgery of NIMCH provides comprehensive services to
women in the treatment and management of gynecologic and obstetric conditions – from

Paediatrics is one of the most organized and dynamic departments of NIMCH. The faculty

care for the sick babies. All together we are a big happy family. We have got General
pediatrics, specialties like Neonatology, Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Nephrology,
Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Hematology & Oncology, Paediatric & Neonatal Surgery,
Paediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Unit (NICU & PICU).
